Statement of the Dean following the resignation of Sheila Risbud as ACFA President.

La communauté du Campus Saint-Jean a appris avec surprise et regret la démission de Sheila Risbud du poste de présidente de l'Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta (ACFA). Au cours de son mandat, le Campus Saint-Jean a surmonté plusieurs défis, notamment grâce à la proche collaboration entre l’ACFA et le Campus Saint-Jean. Ses qualités de leadership, d'écoute et de diplomatie nous ont permis de traverser cette période mouvementée et de relancer Saint-Jean sur des bases solides. Grâce à Sheila, Saint-Jean peut désormais se tourner vers l’avenir. 

Du côté personnel, je sais à quel point les membres de la communauté de Saint-Jean ont apprécié et ont été marqués par son engagement et son action sans relâche.

Au nom de la communauté Saint-Jean, je souhaite exprimer toute ma gratitude et ma reconnaissance à Sheila Risbud, et lui souhaitons une bonne continuation dans sa carrière. Nous adressons aussi nos sincères félicitations à Pierre Asselin, avec qui nous sommes heureux de continuer à travailler dans un esprit constructif et résolument tourné vers l’avenir.

The Campus Saint-Jean community learned with surprise and regret of the resignation of Sheila Risbud as President of the Association canadienne-française de l'Alberta (ACFA). During her tenure, Campus Saint-Jean overcame many challenges thanks to the close collaboration between ACFA and Campus Saint-Jean. Her leadership, listening skills and diplomacy helped us through these turbulent times and put Saint-Jean  back on a solid footing. Thanks to Sheila, Saint-Jean can now look to the future. 

On a personal note, I know how much the members of the Saint-Jean community have appreciated and been impacted by her commitment and tireless efforts.

On behalf of the Saint-Jean community, I wish to express my gratitude and appreciation to Sheila Risbud and wish her well in her career. We also extend our sincere congratulations to Pierre Asselin, with whom we look forward to continuing to work in a constructive and forward-looking manner.
