Invitation to the International Symposium of the Research Group on Africa and Latin America

The Research Group on Africa and Latin America (GRAAL) of the University of Alberta's Faculté Saint-Jean (FSJ) is pleased to invite you to its international symposium on the theme: "Africa - Canada - Latin America: Building inclusive, innovative and resilient societies" (« Afrique - Canada - Amérique latine: Bâtir des sociétés inclusives, innovantes et résilientes »).
One of the mandates of the research group is to ensure that Canadian research on Southern countries is conducted with colleagues who come from, know and work in those countries.
This official launch sympoisum of the GRAAL will explore the new political, economic and social issues that link Canada, Africa (including Afrodescendence) and Latin America. It will also provide an opportunity to forge new links between researchers on the one hand and between researchers and communities on the other.
The symposium will be held at the University of Alberta, Campus Saint-Jean, April 27-29, 2023.
