Biography of the Honourable Morton Minc:

A member of the Order of Canada, Justice Morton Minc has transformed and promoted access to the justice system for the disadvantaged, elderly and/or marginalized in society. As Chief Justice of the Municipal Court of Montreal, he "redirected" thousands of people out of the incarceration system and into the community. Through his tireless efforts, he has made the Montreal court a model for others in Canada and has received several awards, including the Order of Montreal and the Prix de la justice du Québec.
