2 - Admission requirements

Before submitting your application, contact one of our team of Recruiters, who will be able to help you determine if you meet the admission requirements for the program you are interested in. 

3 - Submit your application

You may apply online through the Undergraduate Admissions System.

Application Deadlines

Winter 2021: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs only

  • Application deadline: November 15, 2020
  • Document submission deadline: November 15, 2020

Fall 2021: All programs

  • Applications open: October 2020
  • Application deadline: March 1st, 2021
  • Document submission deadline: 
    • High School Applicants
      • March 15: All previously completed course work and course registration of current year. 
      • August 1st: Final results of current year. 
    • Postsecondary Transfer Applicants
      • 15 mars: All previously completed course work and course registration of current year. 
      • 15 juin: Final results of current year.

4 - Check your application status

After you submit your application, you will have access to the UAlberta Launchpad platform. A personalized Checklist of outstanding items will be posted in your Launchpad account. The Launchpad Checklist outlines all transcripts and other documentation required for your evaluation.

In addition to your UAlberta Launchpad account creation, you should receive an email with your UAlberta student ID number and your Campus Computing ID (CCID) within two business days of submitting your application. Your CCID allows you to access many services, including your UAlberta email account. Important communications are sent to your UAlberta email account, so activate it as soon as possible and check it frequently. 

5 - Updating your final course marks

If you are a high school student, you can declare your courses and current marks during the application process, before your receive your final marks. The final marks can then be updated between February 15 and April 30. This allows us to evaluate your application sooner!

6- Accepting your offer of admission

Admission offers must be accepted in Launchpad. Undergraduate students new to the UofA must submit a nonrefundable tuition deposit to confirm their admission and their intention to register (the tuition deposit will count toward your total tuition cost). Your registration in the program is not confirmed until you have paid your tuition deposit. More information about the tuition deposit and payment options can be found at this link

If you are applying for residece, you may accept your offer through Launchpad as well.


7- Register for classes

Once you have accepted your offer of admission and paid your tuition deposit, you will need to use Bear Tracks to view your enrolment date (this is the date you can start registering in classes for both Fall and Winter) and to register for your classes.
