FAQs

What courses are available by distance learning?

The content of all our courses can be accessed remotely via our learning management platform, eClass. You can register for courses offered by video or completely online, if your interest and academic requirements are met. Please consult the list of available courses on Bear Tracks or contact the Admissions Office (780-465-8703).

How do I connect to my eClass courses?

You must authenticate yourself with your CCID and password. This is generally the same information you use for your University of Alberta e-mail account (ccid@ualberta.ca).

If you no longer have this information, please contact IST:
Telephone: 780-492-9400
E-mail: https://ist.ualberta.ca/contact

Why doesn't my course appear on the eClass site?
Please check the following:
  1. That your course appears on your BearTracks course list; if it does, go on to step 2.
  2. The existence and visibility of the course on the eClass site with your instructor (there is a 24-hour delay between registering for a course and its appearance in eClass site). If yourinstructor confirms that everything is normal and the 24-hour detail has elapsed, go on to step 3.

  3. test your system for videoconferencing sessions: http://tinyurl.com/acsystemtest
