Documenting the history of the 1932–1933 famine-genocide in Ukraine. Directed by multiple Emmy Award-winning documentarian Andrew Tkach, who for thirteen years was Christiane Amanpour’s long-form producer at CNN Reports and CBS 60 Minutes.
Featuring the story of the Canadian journalist Rhea Clyman, an eyewitness to the Holodomor, based on research by Jars Balan of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies. This repeat screening will be of an extended version of the documentary that includes material about Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea and the Kremlin’s covert hybrid war in Eastern Ukraine.
