Online Movie Premiere | A Canadian War Story

The Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies is proud to announce the premiere showing of A Canadian War Story, directed by the renowned Winnipeg filmmaker, John Paskievich. Produced by the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre in Toronto in partnership with Ukrainian War Veterans Association of Canada, the documentary tells the story of Canadians of Ukrainian descent who served in all branches of Canada’s Armed Forces and in every theatre of combat during the Second World War. The late Andrij Makuch, along with Jars Balan and Dr. Serge Cipko of the Kule Ukrainian Canadian Studies Centre at CIUS, contributed extensive historical research to the making of the film, which will be aired in a special online screening on Friday 6 November.
