News Content

Cascade has a number of different options for displaying news feeds from within Cascade and from external sources.

News collection pages can be created using the standard Cascade page, or using the News Room page.

The first step is to create a folder that will contain your news content. Content within this folder can be stored within sub-folders.

Next, start by creating your first article. Once you have created one or more news articles, you can build a news home page.

Some differences between news content and regular content include:

  1. A news homepage (News Room) has a specific type of layout that is preset within Cascade. Some of the options are configurable (1 or 2 columns, feature stories), but the page cannot be customized in the same manner that regular Cascade pages can.
  2. News Posts (Articles) are similar to the News Room and can only have certain options configured.
  3. News teasers and Latest News are components that display a news feed on regular Cascade pages.
  4. The News/Post module can also be used as a blog within Cascade.
