CTL Visiting Speaker Grants

Maximum $2,000 grants to assist (in whole or to supplement an already funded visit) departments/units in bringing scholars to campus that will address teaching and the scholarship of teaching within the discipline.

Scope
Made possible by an Endowment for Teaching, Learning and Their Enhancement, these are small grants to assist (in whole or to supplement an already funded visit) departments/units in bringing scholars to campus that will address teaching and the scholarship of teaching within the discipline. Support is contingent on the inclusion of a teaching and learning related presentation or other event that will be open to the wider University community.

Amount of Funding
In order to support as many requests as possible, the maximum award to any single application is $2,000.

Adjudication
CTL Director, CTL Associate Director, CTL Educational Developer, CTL Strategic Initiatives Manager. Recipients can expect to receive a decision within three (3) weeks of receipt of an application.

Annual Timeline
Opportunities may arise unpredictably throughout the year and therefore there are no set deadlines. Requests will be considered as they are received. Funds are limited on an annual basis to approximately $10,000. Recipients can expect to receive a decision within three (3) weeks of receipt of an application.

  • Outcome Dissemination - CTL website. Events through CTL dissemination channels.
