fine particle homo- and hetero-flocculation; froth flotation; application of natural and synthetic polymers in mineral and oil sands processing; polymer modification with functional groups; oil sands tailings dewatering and consolidation; flotation in gold extraction processes; hydroxamic acid and phosphonic acid; beneficiation of oolitic ironstones
