Vinay Prasad’s research interests are in catalysis and process systems engineering. The focus is on applications in heterogeneous catalysis and kinetics, fuel cells, multiscale systems and systems biology. Prior to joining the University of Alberta, he held academic positions at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the University of Delaware, and earlier a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Focus Center – NY, Rensselaer. In addition, he has industrial experience in refinery process optimization and hydrogen production for fuel cells and industrial applications. He holds a B.Tech. Degree from IIT Bombay, an MS degree
from Kansas State University and a PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
