In 2010, the Department of Chemistry established three different annual staff recognition awards. These awards are presented at our annual Celebration of Chemistry event each fall.
Outstanding Administrative Support
This award is intended to recognize staff who consistently provide outstanding administrative service to the Department of Chemistry. Important factors include: providing outstanding service, fostering innovation, creating a positive influence in the workplace and demonstrating leadership qualities.

Outstanding Teaching/Research/Technical Services Support
This award is intended to recognize staff who consistently make a positive contribution to the teaching and research success of the Department of Chemistry. This would include: providing outstanding service, fostering innovation, creating a positive influence in the workplace, and demonstrating leadership qualities.

Chemistry Booster Award
This award is created to recognize those individuals who contribute to a positive culture within the department, bring the “best” of themselves to work on a regular basis throughout the year in performing his/her regular job duties and are a good ambassador of the Chemistry department. This individual will provide exceptional service to clients, are innovative and have an enthusiastic approach to work and contribute to a healthy work environment/wellness.
