2019 continues the successful trend of past years for chemistry faculty, with three colleagues earning recognition from the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC). Professors Todd Lowary and Wolfgang Jaeger will be honored on June 6 at the annual Awards Banquet on the occasion of the 102nd Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (CCCE) in Quebec City. The CSC also awarded Professor Rylan Lundgren a CNC-IUPAC Travel Award to present his research at the 20th IUPAC International Symposium on Organometallic Chemistry Directed Towards Organic Synthesis in Heidelberg, Germany on July 21-25. Congratulations to all three for their achievements.

Prof. Wolfgang Jaeger - John C. Polanyi Award

The John C. Polanyi Award is presented for excellence by a scientist carrying out research in Canada in physical, theoretical or computational chemistry or chemical physics.

Prof. Todd Lowary - Alfred Bader Award

The Alfred Bader Award is presented as a mark of distinction and recognition for excellence in research in organic chemistry by a scientist who is currently working in Canada.

Prof. Rylan Lundgren - CNC/IUPAC Travel Award

The CNC/IUPAC Travel Awards enable young scientists who are currently working at a Canadian institution to present their research at IUPAC-sponsored conferences outside of Canada.
