Michaela Pedersen-Macnab


Michaela completed a master's degree in political science, with a focus in International Relations, at the University of British Columbia. Her thesis examines China's engagement with the Paris Agreement, and how China's climate strategy has changed over the last three decades. She previously completed a bachelor's degree at the University of Alberta in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Law and Policy-making.

In July of 2017, Michaela completed a research fellowship in Zhengzhou and Beijing. Her fellowship research examines whether the Paris Agreement has impacted China's evolving climate strategy, with a particular focus on renewable energy development projects, and multilevel governance.
