Shaoyan Sun


Dr. Shaoyan (Sally) Sun received her Ph.D in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta. She holds a M.A. degree in economics and BBA. in Business Management. Her research focuses on agriculture and agri-food, environment and natural resources, and trade and investment. Her research interests include 1) food-relevant issue and their economic impact; 2) consumer behavior and market demand in the agri-food industry; 3) firm behavior in food markets; 4) food security, climate change and economic development in developing countries. Her current research in China Institute specializes in Canada-China trade and economic relations, the economic impact of trade barriers on the bilateral Canada-china trade, the impact of China-Canada investment on firms in both countries.
