August 8, 2008, Dr. Wenran Jiang, Acting Director of the China Institute, was invited to write an op-ed essay for the Globe and Mail's Saturday edition. Dr. Jiang comments on the controversial issue of China's human rights records, disputing the view that China's human rights condition has been deteriorating and it does not deserve hosting the Summer Olympics.
