Intro to Chinese Politics

New course - POL S 354 A-1

28 March 2018

Spring Term | Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30 - 4:20

Instructor: Ashley Esarey

China's rise in global affairs has changed our lives from the clothes we buy to development of the Circumpolar North, geopolitical rivalry in the South China Sea, anti-piracy in Africa, infrastructure connecting Europe to Beijing, and efforts to slow climate change.

Introduction to Chinese Politics offers you the opportunity to step inside China's opaque political system and to see the world through the lens of Beijing's top policymakers, as they attempt to maintain power while remaking global politics and trade to serve China's interests.

There is no prerequisite for this course.
