AAC Camp Alberta
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a set of tools and strategies that can help people who are unable to rely on verbal speech to communicate. AAC systems may include gestures or signs, picture/word boards, mobile devices with communication apps, and/or speech generating communication devices.
AAC Camp Alberta is a weekend family camp for children aged 6 - 19 years who use robust multimodal AAC systems and their families to enjoy fun camp activities while they practice social communication.

We are pleased to announce that AAC Camp will be held in person again as a day camp in Edmonton.
AAC Camp activities include fun games, music & movement, arts & crafts, and more, all designed to encourage communication and interaction between campers. There are also special sessions for siblings to connect with each other and learn more about AAC. Parent/caregiver sessions include a mix of presentations by AAC experts and opportunities for Q & A and networking.
