Sip. Chat. Connect.
Connection starts with conversation, and what better way to connect than over a free cup of tea or coffee? The Unitea volunteer program provides a platform for communication in two ways: individual tea times, and collective tea times. Through one-on-one engaging opportunities and facilitating group conversations, Unitea volunteers can connect with their peers in supportive, respectful, safe, and meaningful ways. Volunteers are knowledgeable in the area of campus and community resources and are able to make referrals as needed. If you’re wondering about how steep the learning curve may be to become a Unitea volunteer, we’ve got you covered! All of our volunteers receive training in supportive listening and group facilitation skills in a variety of topics.
Why Volunteer with Unitea?
If connecting with your peers over a hot beverage sounds like your cup of tea, we would love to hear from you! Further to helping reduce loneliness, gaining experience and formal training in communication strategies, and acquiring extensive knowledge around campus and community resources, volunteers have an opportunity to gain skills in other areas by participating in various Unitea committees and groups on campus. Check out our Volunteer Essentials to find out more about volunteering with Unitea.
