New Government of Alberta public health measures start on Friday, April 30

Late this afternoon, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced that the province is introducing expanded restrictions for hotspot regions, including Edmonton. As a result, starting Friday, April 30, the following provincial restrictions will also come into effect on our campuses:
- All indoor recreation facilities must close.
- All indoor fitness activities are prohibited.
- All youth and adult indoor sport and recreation activities are prohibited.
Individuals directly impacted by these changes will be contacted. Please note that the reintroduced measures do not affect the current working remotely directive for U of A employees. Employees and students are encouraged to continue to use remote university services whenever possible.
