New Provincial COVID-19 Measures & Impact on the U of A Community

Today, the Government of Alberta announced new, stronger province-wide public health restrictions. These measures will impact all of those in Alberta, including the U of A community. The new measures are expected to be in place until at least Jan. 4, 2021. Additional U of A details will be available tomorrow (Dec. 9).

Today, Alberta’s Premier announced that the province will be implementing enhanced public health restrictions to help reduce the rising spread of COVID-19 within the province. As we have throughout the pandemic, the U of A community will do all that we can to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Today, Alberta Health Services (AHS) notified us that five members of our campus community have tested positive for COVID-19. The outbreak is based within the Men’s Residence of St. Joseph’s College on North Campus.
