Welcome to Dr. Anderson

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Dustin Anderson has accepted the position of Clinical Scholar beginning July 1, 2021.

15 December 2020

Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate training in electrical engineering (UBC) and biochemistry (SFU). Thereafter, he completed the MD/PhD program at the University of Calgary. His PhD work was in neurosciences under the tutelage of Drs. Ray Turner and Gerald Zamponi. This was highlighted by high-profile publications in Nature Neuroscience and Proc National Academy Sciences and being awarded the Governor General's Gold Medal. Dr. Anderson went on to complete neurology training at the University of Alberta, also obtaining certification as an electro-encephalographer (CSCN Diplomate) and neuro-sonologist (ASN Diplomate).

Dr. Anderson will focus on clinical and academic training in neurocritical care, including a fellowship in neurocritical care at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins. Dr. Anderson’s research will focus on non-invasive neurocritical care monitoring, specifically, evaluating the role of non-invasive ultrasound (ocular ultrasonography and transcranial doppler) in patients with acute liver failure and the clinical utility of continuous EEG versus spot EEG in various clinical scenarios.

We look forward to this unique opportunity aimed to grow our academic neurocritical care program.
