Announcement: Associate Chair, Quality and Safety

It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Raiyan Chowdhury is the successful candidate for the position of Associate Chair, Quality and Safety for the Department of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Chowdhury completed his MD program at the University of Alberta. He subsequently navigated residency training in both otolaryngology and critical care medicine at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Chowdury's academic interests have focused on improving patient care from a health quality and safety standpoint. He subsequently completed a Masters in Health Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Business.
Dr. Chowdury works as an intensivist at the Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU, where he also serves as Associate Director - Quality. He also maintains a clinical surgical practice in ENT. His ongoing projects aim to improve the patient and family experience in ICU and implementation of an ICU follow-up clinic.
