We are open

We're here to support you! We may be working remotely but we're still "here" to provide you with the services that you need.

Please go to the COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) Information page for the university's latest updates.

A conversation can make all the difference in the life of a student-Unitea provides opportunities for these conversations to happen.

We are committed to building community one tea at a time, and believe strong campuses foster communities where voices are heard, well-being is promoted, and social interactions can flourish.

How It Works

Sign up online for a one-to-one tea or collective tea time with a Unitea host(s). Students and Hosts will meet at a specified location and enjoy free hot beverages from one of our participating partners. The program is available for students at both North and Augustana campuses.

Graduate-Specific Collective Tea Times

Together ASSET, GSA, and Unitea are hosting virtual collective tea times specifically for graduate students during the spring. To join a virtual collective tea time, click the button below. Due to the change in program delivery, we will not be able to offer free tea or coffee or provide mugs to participants.

Coping with change and maintaining productivity during the pandemic
May 22, 2020
2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a great deal of change and uncertainty. In this tea time, connect (virtually) with fellow graduate students to explore ways to cope with change, practice self-care, and maintain productivity during the pandemic.

Overcoming failures and redefining success in grad school
June 19, 2020
2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Failure and rejection are a natural part of graduate school. However, they are rarely talked about openly. In this tea time, you will connect (virtually) with fellow graduate students to discuss ways to overcome failures and how we can each redefine success in light of changing times.

Book a Tea Time

In partnership with Alumni Student Support and Engagement Team (ASSET) and Graduate Students' Association (GSA), Unitea will be hosting Collective Tea Times that will focus on issues important to graduate students. This will offer Grad Students an opportunity to gather together to make connections, support one another, and take a break from the pressures of graduate student life.

One-to-One Tea Times

We want to thank all those that booked a tea time with our Unitea Hosts this year. One-to-one tea times will resume in Fall 2020.

One-to-one tea times foster meaningful conversations that provide opportunities for students to talk with a trained peer on different topics or issues to engage in helpful conversation, foster connection and build a sense of community.

Collective Tea Times

Please note that Collective Tea Times have been cancelled for the remainder of the Winter Term in response to preventative COVID-19 measures. This program will resume in fall 2020.

Undergraduate and Graduate students can sign up to join group tea times with other U of A students. These collective tea times will cover a range of topics facilitated by Unitea volunteers. The goal of collective tea times is to foster meaningful conversations and increase connections within the community.
