Community Service-Learning
Community Service-Learning (CSL) offers UAlberta students the chance to work with a local community group, while reflecting and putting their experiences in context within a university course.
International
Whether you want to do an internship in another country, go on an international exchange at one of our partner universities around the world, or participate in a summer program, we've got you covered.
University of Alberta Libraries
UAL provides career experience learning opportunities for future and current library professionals. These include: practicum support for LIS/LibTech programs, the UAL/SLIS Collaborative Program, the UAL Academic Library Residency Program and the UAL Indigenous Internship Program.
Undergraduate Research Initiative

Alberta School of Business
Cooperative education is an optional program for students in the Bachelor of Commerce program. Students put their academic knowledge into action through periods of relevant work experience of 4 or 8 months each.
Augustana Campus
Augustana Campus in Camrose has several popular experiential learning opportunities including significant international experiences, outdoor education and community-based projects.
Faculty of ALES
Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences (ALES) Internship Program provides students with a chance to apply knowledge gained in academic studies to the work place through paid internship experience.
Faculty of Arts
Experiential Learning lets you take your undergraduate education in the Faculty of Arts 'beyond the classroom' with structured opportunities that include research, community service, work, and travel.
Faculty of Engineering
Cooperative education in engineering incorporates a paid, supervised work experience into the undergraduate engineering degree program. Students gain valuable real-world experience in positions related to their field of study.
Faculty of Science
The U of A's Science Internship Program - SciWorks - integrates undergraduate Faculty of Science studies and relevant work experiences through 4, 8, 12 or 16-month paid internships.
