Awards and Scholarships

Applications for FPH and MEF open August 15, 2020. The application deadline is October 15, 2020. Please visit BearTracks to apply. These awards are opened annually to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students and are provided by many generous donors in the community. Please contact the Engagement Coordinator at for further details on award application inquiries.

AltaLink Indigenous Relations Scholarship
This scholarship program is designed to recognize leaders in the Indigenous community by offering scholarships to Indigenous students attending post-secondary institutions.Two eligible students from each  of Treaty 6, 7, 8 and the Métis community in Alberta will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

Indigenous Careers Awards
According to the Government of Alberta, applications for the Indigenous Careers Award will be available in late fall instead of early August for the 2019-20 academic year. For details about the Indigenous Careers Awards, visit Alberta Student Aid.

U of A Scholarships and Awards
You may be eligible to apply for other U of A Scholarships and Awards depending on your faculty, year, and academic standing.
