University of Alberta’s Annual Round Dance
Every year First Peoples' House hosts the Annual University of Alberta Round Dance, which is a community event that welcomes all guests to campus. The Round Dance is hosted at the end of January and welcomes all volunteers for a variety of duties.

Every year at the end of August, we host the annual 2 day Bridges Orientation, which welcomes all “New to U” Aboriginal students to campus. During this 2 day orientation, volunteers help with an variety of duties, such as registration, helping with BBQ, and being a part of a student panel — to give the new students tips on being a successful student.
LEARN MORE ABOUT U-SCHOOL
Every year, the Office of the Senate welcomes students from Edmonton and surrounding area to take part in U School. Students from grades 4 to 9 are given the opportunities to learn about different programs on campus.
U School works with classroom teachers to develop a week-long experience related to learning objectives and expose students to things unique to the U of A.

Aboriginal Campus Ambassador
Each year the Office of the Registrar recruits Aboriginal students to become Aboriginal Campus Ambassadors, where current Aboriginal students have the opportunity to lead Aboriginal specific tours to groups of potential students from Aboriginal communities.
