The Healthy Campus Unit is calling on all members of the campus community to nominate their peers and colleagues who are making our campus an amazing place to learn, work, and grow. There is a great amount of work already being done on our campus to improve the health and well-being of students, staff, and faculty, and it’s time to celebrate these successes.
What is a Wellness Champion?
Wellness happens all around us on campus. We all play a role in creating a healthy environment and all efforts — big and small — contribute to creating a culture of wellness at the University of Alberta. A listening ear, walking group, wellness committee, or policy that integrates well-being into our classrooms, social spaces, and work environments are all ways that wellness can be created. A Wellness Champion makes campus a better place. Their efforts positively influence university life and help to create a more connected campus. While they may not consider their actions as important to the well-being of our campus community, the Wellness Champion awards are your opportunity to let them know how valued they are.
