International Students:
Welcome to Campus! 

Before you embark on your academic journey, your first step to getting to know campus and your new community of Edmonton is to start with Online Orientation

A self-paced e-Class, Online Orientation consists of eight modules, accessible through Bear Tracks with your CCID. Each module contains valuable information on the unique aspects of student life at the U of A, such as what to bring, finding housing, applying for a study/work permit, and more!

Get the settlement information you need for a smooth transition to Alberta. 

International Student Services offer online sessions on a variety of topics, including how to get your Social Insurance Number (SIN), how to apply for Alberta Health Care, and information on banking and cell phone plans.

When you physically arrive on campus, visit Campus Check-In. There, you can have a one-on-one conversation with our Welcome Ambassadors, who can answer all of your questions. 

Pick up your welcome bag — all students that visit Campus Check-In receive a welcome bag! 

Connect to Campus Check-In through the Off-Campus Travel Registry 

Aug. 28: International Students' Association (ISA) Welcome Program

Join International Students' Association (ISA) Welcome Program (Online), to meet current and new international students, learn about ISA, play games, get engaged in the community, explore campus student life, learn more about doing a job as a student or excelling in academics at university. This ISA session will conclude with a student panel for you all to ask questions and meet with regional groups. Zoom links will be shared prior to the program. Don't miss this event on Aug 28, 2021 (11 am -1 pm).
