One-to-One Tea Time Host

Main Focus: meet with students weekly individually, either virtually or in-person on campus, over a free tea and a conversation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Using active listening skills to support students in meaningful ways
  • Willing to discuss a range of topics (e.g., exam stress, English conversation, questions about campus, hobbies/interests, and everything in between)
  • Referring students to appropriate supports and debriefing with Unitea support staff (as needed)
  • Tracking individual conversations, committee work, and other activities
  • Participating in committee and outreach-related activities
  • Attending Unitea program and committee meetings

Collective Tea Time Host

Main Focus: work in teams of two and facilitate monthly student group tea times, either virtually or in-person on campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing talking points and/or themes to be used in collective discussions
  • Promoting, organizing, and facilitating collective tea times
  • Referring students to appropriate supports and debriefing with Unitea support staff (as needed)
  • Participating in committee and outreach-related activities
  • Tracking group interactions, committee work, and other activities
  • Attending Unitea program and committee meetings
