Timeline:

The application deadline for all Fellowships is August 31, 2022.

Interviews will be conducted in person or via "Skype" in July/August.

Successful applicants will be notified in October/November 2022.

Application Requirements:

  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Internal Medicine (including exam) or equivalent
  • Completion of GI Residency in approved institution
  • English, as per University Requirements
  • A minimum score of at 7.0 on each band of the IELTS as well as satisfactory completion of an ELP assessment during the Pre-Entry Assessment Program (PEAP) that is mandatory for all sponsored trainees or the probationary period those who do not attend the PEAP. The IELTS results must be from the past two years.

Candidates will be exempt from English requirements if:

  1. their undergraduate or postgraduate medical education experience is in a country where English is the first and native language,
  2. >50% of their undergraduate and postgraduate medical education was taken in a country where English is the first and native language
  3. OR if they are in independent practice in Canada or in a country where English is the first and native language and have already met ELP requirements before registering with their regulatory body.

    3. Proof of English proficiency
    4. Copy of certificate of successful completion of Internal Medication, including examination
