Tuition & Financial Aids

Funding

All graduate students in the Department of Medicine are funded by their supervisors through grant-funded research studies or through a student's scholarship/bursary.

These trust accounts are governed by the Regulations Governing Trust-Funded Graduate Assistantships Collective Agreement, negotiated annually by the Graduate Students' Association and University of Alberta.

For information about this agreement, including minimum remuneration for graduate students, annual increments and details about parental leaves, etc., click here.

To learn more about funding policies specific to the Department of Medicine's, please see our Funding Policy.

(Note: If a conflict arises between these Regulations and the regulations of the granting agencies, the latter shall take precedence).
