Our research program encompasses multidisciplinary and translational approaches to unravel the basis for cardiovascular diseases and to discover and test novel therapies. Our research has been translated into clinical trials including amlodipine therapy for iron-overload cardiomyopathy (phase II trial) and recombinant human angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (rhACE2) as therapy for lung injury (phase II trial)
