Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroinflammation Update for Family Physicians

Course Description

This course is designed for family/general practice physicians, residents, and community nurses with a particular interest in neuroinflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis. We will update participants on recent advances in the management of symptoms and available therapies. The format will blend educational presentations with interactive workshops and discussions.

Course Objectives 

On completion of this program participants will:

  • Have an improved understanding of the management of patients with neuroinflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
  • Be familiar with the most recent approach to neuropsychiatric and cognitive impairments and testing in MS patients.
  • Be familiar with bladder management in MS patients.
  • Have an improved understanding of palliative care and end-of-life issues.
