On June 21, 2019 the Economics Department and the Economics Society of Northern Alberta co-sponsored a "Policy Pints" event at the Rocky Mountain Ice House on Jasper Ave. Seven of our PhD students gave 5 minute presentations on their dissertation research, and then took questions from a diverse audience. The students had been coached on their presentation skills by Melanie Dreyer-Lude, Chair of the Department of Drama. The event was a great success and we plan on making it an annual event.
