What made you interested in becoming an EECC facilitator?
I did a semester in France during my 3rd year and was fortunate enough to work at an English Conversation Club. It was a blast! I’ve found my passion for helping others with their English conversation skills. It’s so rewarding!

What is your favorite part of being an EECC facilitator?
I love being a part of the international community. Because I too was an international student once, I can really emphasize with the obstacles international students may endure. After my semester in France, I kept looking for ways to be involved and give back to the international community... being an EECC facilitator is the perfect way to do so!

What do you do outside of the EECC?
I work at the Centre for Autism Services Alberta as an Interventionist, work on research projects, volunteer with non-profits, and of course study for my classes. I also enjoy cooking, shopping, painting, and finding new places to eat even though I always return to my favourite spots in the end.

What made you interested in becoming an EECC facilitator?
I was interested in becoming a EECC facilitator because I wanted to gain more experience with public speaking and develop skills in "teaching" another language. I was also interested in getting more involved with the U of A community, specifically the International Student population as I didn't really know much about them or really have opportunities to get to know them until this club!

What is your favourite part of being an EECC facilitator?
My favourite part about being an EECC facilitator is seeing the growth within our members. In the beginning, they were more shy and closed off, however now it is really great to see the openness and camaraderie between the members. Not only are they building friendships through the club but they're also becoming more confident in their English language skills which is fantastic to see.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
Fun Fact: I love caffeine, but prefer matcha tea over coffee.
