Are you looking for new summer fun experiences? Are you between the ages of 12 and 18 or have daughter or granddaughter in this age? This summer we will be having our YIWCL based on nehiyawin cultural arts immersed in the nehiyawewin language in a VIRTUAL SPACE. We will have small groups of young women engaged in hands on visual, musical, and performative arts. The program will run over 2 weeks and include a fall program for follow-up. You will get a gym bag with books, gift cards and learning materials in advance and the girls who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion from the University of Alberta and an honorarium. "This year I am not only going into grade eight, I am going with a new experience behind me."

"I learned the importance of helping others. This has taught me that leadership affects the many aspects of my life as well as the lives of others. Responsibility and respect have been a huge part also, where it be respecting others or taking actions for your mistakes. For the great help I would like to say thank you to the leaders for giving us an opportunity to explore and share new knowledge."

"During YIWCL I learned the importance of belonging because everyone actually did make me feel at home. I made lots of friends, had lots of fun. It made me feel like I belong."
