Community Learning

Community Learning Partnerships are a form of community service learning (CSL) that link academic course work to community volunteer work by building partnerships between students, faculty, and local community organizations. The goal in these partnerships is to enhance student learning and at the same time provide volunteers for community organizations thereby enhancing the work of the organization. As the relationships develop, there are opportunities for shared learning as students identify how classroom concepts relate to issues and needs within the community.
