Students walking into Education North

Graduate Student Orientation is August 27th

All new and current students in the department of Educational Policy Studies are invited to join us at the 2019 Graduate Student Orientation on August 27th, 2019. See the Calendar Event for more details. It will be a relaxed opportunity for you to meet other students in the department as well as an opportunity to meet department staff. Light refreshments will be available. As an environmentally friendly option we encourage you to bring your own mugs for coffee and/or water.

As well, the Educational Policy Students Graduate Students Association will be providing a tour to key areas in the Education building following the orientation.

By attending this informative session new students will have the opportunity to:

  • meet their personal Program Advisor

  • become more familiar with important program information

  • meet other new graduate students, their faculty instructors, and support staff who can assist with their programs

  • have an opportunity to meet other students in the department and see the research that they are involved with

  • get a chance to meet department staff.

Some specializations will host an additional orientation event; those students will receive a separate orientation invitation. Students are encouraged to attend both the specialization and departmental orientation. See the events box for information on the following specialization orientations:
