Graduate Students

Our Department is home to many talented students studying at the Master's and Doctoral levels. Here you will find Graduate Student Profiles and information on our Student Research and Awards.

Graduate Students' Association of the University of Alberta

The Graduate Students' Association (GSA) is the representative body for graduate students at the University of Alberta. The GSA is a student-led, not-for-profit corporation, with a mission to advocate for all graduate students to the University of Alberta and the Alberta Government for a safe, supportive, respectful, accessible, and inclusive community that fosters the multi-faceted roles played by graduate students.

All graduate students at the U of A are automatically members of the GSA, with the right to vote in elections, run for office, and serve on committees.

Educational Policy Studies Graduate Students' Association

Students in the department are also part of the Educational Policy Studies Graduate Students' Association. The Educational Policy Studies Graduate Students' Association (EPSGSA) supports all EPS students by:

  • Enriching and enhancing the intellectual, social, and recreational lives of graduate students;
  • Contributing to a mutually respectful and productive climate within the department;
  • Ensuring student representation on department, faculty, and university decision-making committees;
  • Keeping all graduate students informed of committee plans, activities, and decisions; and
  • Providing official representation and advocacy for graduate students.

All students are welcome to get involved with the EPSGSA and our activities. Connect with us anytime on Facebook or via email at epsgsa@ualberta.ca. We would love to hear from you.
