  • Grande Prairie Regional College (Grande Prairie AB)

     

    Our partnership with Grande Prairie Regional College provides MES students in Northern Alberta with the convenience of completing their summer residencies close to home. GPRC has graciously donated its campus--with full access to study space, wifi, and numerous amenities--to MES students. Visit GPRC's website for more information on the campus.

    Pending sufficient enrollment, the MES Year 1 Summer Residency will be offered at GPRC in the Summer of 2018.

  • International Baccalaureate Organization

     IB Educators: Earn an IB Advanced Certificate

    The University of Alberta is one of only three Canadian universities that is IB recognized to offer programs of graduate-level study that fulfill the academic requirement for an IB Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning Research and one of only two Canadian universities that is IB recognized to offer programs of graduate-level that fulfill the academic requirement for an an IB Advanced Certificate in Leadership Research. Completion of the MES provides IB educators with the opportunity to register with IBO for one of these two certificates. The Advanced Certificate credential acknowledges your profound understandings of evidence-based practices in the IB context and offers you a competitive advantage to prospective employers.

    Please note that additional requirements set by the IB must be satisfied; please check the IBO website for current requirements.

    Our faculty will assist you in identifying an area(s) of educational interest and will provide support as you build your knowledge base, enhance your capacity to translate theory into IB practice, and identify areas for further investigation into educational improvement in the IB context.

  • Red Deer College (Red Deer AB)

    Our partnership with Red Deer College allows MES students in the Red Deer region the convenience of completing their summer residencies closer to home in a beautiful facility with full access to study spaces, wifi, and numerous amenities. 

    Pending sufficient enrollment, the MES Year 1 Summer Residency will be offered at RDC in the Summer of 2018.

  • University of Alberta, Augustana Campus (Camrose AB)

    Our partnership with Augustana Campus provides MES students in central Alberta with the convenience of completing their summer residencies in Camrose.
