Master of Education in Educational Studies (MES)

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the MEd in HSE program, applicants must present:

  • a four year undergraduate degree (normally in a health-related discipline) with a minimum of 3.0 GPA (on a four point letter grading scale or equivalent) cumulative average in the last 60 credits of the program
  • three letters of reference (two of which must be from someone knowledgeable about the applicant’s abilities and potential to pursue academic work)
  • teaching experience in a health-related discipline
  • a Statement of Intent (500-800 words) outlining why they want to pursue this degree, their areas of professional/research interest, the relevance of their work and teaching experience, and their interest in interprofessional teamwork in education and practice.
  • a Curriculum Vitae
  • official transcripts from all accredited post-secondary institutions attended

International applicants are also required to provide:

  • an official degree certificate accompanied by official (original) marksheets and an English translation of each marksheet outlining all courses taken and grades obtained for all post-secondary institutions attended
  • where applicable, a TOEFL score of at least 600 (paper-based) with a score of 25 for "speaking" and not less than 22 in the other categories (internet-based)
