Education and Training Program

Our graduate students are based in the Department of Economics, the School of Public Health, and the Department of Medicine. In our first five years we have graduated two PhD's (Economics and Health Economics) and two Masters students (Economics and Medicine). A further two PhD students have completed their candidacy examinations and are expected to complete their doctoral studies in 2017. We also host post-doctoral research fellows within our research team.

Summer Student Research Program

Each year we host one or two highly rated undergraduates to work with faculty and residents on health policy and economic evaluation oriented research projects within the research group. Typically, summer students are attached to Resident Research Teams, pursuing longer term research projects. They provide the students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the research process in an applied health setting. We also provide students with a structured training seminar program to enrich their formal research skill acquisition.
