Lecture:

Katie Lewis and Dr. Elizabeth Townsend: If it Ain’t Broke, Why Rehabilitate it? Canadian Occupational Therapy in the Rehabilitation Era, 1950-1985. 

Katie Lewis is an occupational therapist studying the developments of occupational therapy through a historical lens: providing insights on how past practices influence our future health and well-being. 

Dr. Elizabeth Townsend is an adult educator, occupational scientist, and occupational therapist. Dr. Townsend was one of four founding faculty who started the only school of Occupational Therapy in Atlantic Canada at Dalhousie University in 1982.
