As August draws to a close, let’s hang on to it just a little longer and reminisce about that time when the moon blocked the sun and when students moved back to campus.

International students participating in the U of A + program helped out with this year’s Dragon Boat races at Hermitage Park.

Students checked out the second annual Move-In Market. The event is put on in partnership with Goodwill Industries of Alberta and the items were donated by students during our Eco Move Out program last April/Mail when they were moving out of residence.

There were plenty of clothes, home goods, and school supplies available for new and returning students.

On Monday, Residence Services welcomed thousands of new and returning UAlberta residents to campus for another great Academic year!”



As a part of Move-In, the opening of the Peter Lougheed Hall marked the first time in over 50 years that Residence and Dining Services were able to celebrate the opening of a new residence dining hall on North Campus.


Move-In ended with the start of BaseCamp and the next chapter in each new residence student’s university career.


And finally, because we have to admit it’s coming…. it looks like Mother Nature is ready to bring on the green and gold….
