Emily Marriott is a Faculty of Education student in her final year of elementary education. Over the summer, she worked with the Dean of Students' Career Centre as a Career Educator, and she's recently started a new position as the Graduate Student Internship Program Career Advisor.

Take a few minutes to see how G Suite shapes her life.

What does an average workday look like for you?

As a career educator, I help other students with their resumes and cover letters, mock interviews, LinkedIn profile reviews, and career advising, which is looking at what strategies and resources you can use to manage your career. I also help run the front desk, so I do bookings, talk to people over the phone, and help with different projects. Right now we're working on a project where we're updating the way we do our stats forms, so we're making new Google forms and updating spreadsheets in Google Drive.

If you were a Google app, which one would you be and why?

I think I would be Google Sheets because I love making spreadsheets - and colour coding them! They've helped me to keep track of everything, from budgets to vacation planning to schedules. I love making lists and organizing information, and Google Sheets makes it so straightforward!

If you were introducing someone to G Suite for the first time, what tips would you give them?

To quote Miss Frizzle, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy." Just play around as much as you can and have fun.
