Kurtus David Smith

Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, and friend, Kurtus passed away tragically and unexpectedly on January 26th, 2019 at the age of 18 years. Kurtus will forever be remembered for his kind heart, brilliant mind, and love of adventure. Kurtus was born in Cold Lake on July 9th, 2000 to the delight of his father Daniel, mother Elizabeth, and siblings Matthew, Kaleigh, and Alexis. Kurtus was always very involved in his community and school. The activities that were closest to his heart were rugby; where he excelled in the sport, and his new love, rock climbing. Kurtus touched many lives in the community and will be sadly missed; especially by his numerous lifelong friends.

A celebration of life will be held on February 16th, 2019 at the Lakeland Inn at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kurtus to the Athletic Department at Assumption Junior Senior High School, 5209 48 Avenue, Cold Lake, AB T9M 1S8. Please make cheques payable to Assumption Junior/Senior High School.
