Move In Day 2019

The new school year is just around the corner!

As all of campus gets ready for another round of students, Residence Services is getting ready for Move In Day 2019. More than 5,000 students will arrive on campus to settle into their new homes for the year.

This will be my third Move In Day - and hopefully not my last! The past two years, I've worked with Residence Services to coordinate everything that takes place behind the scenes, and this year my job is to make the day as fun and memorable as possible.

This year we're ramping up the energy across all our residences on North Campus and Campus Saint-Jean. Enjoy the music or take a selfie at one of our photo spaces! We've also partnered with support services and groups across campus so students can get answers to all of their biggest questions.

A new year and the end of summer might seem bittersweet, but this is one of the best times to reconnect with friends you haven't seen (and make some new ones, too). My favourite part of Move In Day has always been welcoming new and returning students and showing them what the residence community is all about.

Residence is so much more than a place to live; it's about creating lasting friendships and enjoying all the life and opportunity that the community brings!

If you're feeling a bit nostalgic, this is your chance. Help students start the year right by volunteering on Move In Day!

There are lots of ways to get involved. Over 300 volunteers sign up yearly to make move in a success, doing everything from distributing keys and manning elevators, to simply greeting new students and being a friendly face.

We wouldn't be able to do it without you. Be part of the energy and make Move-In Day memorable for new and incoming students!
