Lowering the Flag: Remembering Chuck Moser

The University of Alberta banner is flying at half-mast from March 2-5, 2020 in remembrance of Mr. Chuck Moser (BPE '64, MA '72), the Assistant Athletic Director and Coordinator of Men's Collegiate Athletics, Manager of Development of Alumni Affairs, and Creator of GUBA in the Department of Athletics, Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation.

Chuck will be forever missed by his loving family; wife of 50 years, Lynne, son Kevin (Tanya) Moser, Daughter Deanne (Rob) Peet, son Cameron Moser; grandchildren Tait and Jaycee Conroy-Moser, Jaron and Riley Peet, step-grandchildren Jenna and Jordan Van Schaik; siblings Jerry (Marie) Moser, Jane (Steve) Bauer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Chuck was predeceased by his father and mother Mike and Leontina Moser, brother Michael Moser, father and mother-in-law Carl and Enid Fiveland.

A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Main Gym at the University of Alberta (87 Avenue and 114 Street NW). Parking is available at the University of Alberta's three primary parking lots. Their locations are Education (114 Street and 87 Avenue NW), Stadium (116 Street and 89 Avenue NW) and Jubilee (Just South of the Jubilee Auditorium).

Chuck was the heart and soul of Golden Bears and Pandas Athletics ever since joining the Athletic department in 1966. Chuck will be remembered for not only the time and dedication he gave to University Athletics, but also his energy and humour, and the positive impact he had on so many lives.
