Verna’s Vlog is a series in which I sit down with some of the incredible people who are a part of the U of A community to share their stories and learn more about what they do.

The U of A has released its inaugural People Strategy, a plan to guide how we shape a culture and an environment where faculty and staff can thrive and flourish both professionally and personally.

The strategy is informed by the results of our first Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey and by consultations with people from across our diverse community.

This episode of Verna’s Vlog is a conversation with Declan Ali and Stephanie Dickie, two members of the steering committee for the People Strategy. We talk about why they wanted to get involved, why this strategy is so important and what they hope to see as it is implemented.
